What i expect from Slam?

I hope Slam is one of the books, that can fascinate the reader. Sometimes they make the reader laugh or they're are so excited, that you can't stop reading.... I think Slam might be a book of the first category, because Nick hornby is a writer, who wrtites really funny books, p.e about a boy. After i read the blurp of slam and after a lot of boring and old books, I'm glad that we read a modern (maybe not boring) book.

Other novels I have read in english:

I have read to other schoolbooks : The In-crowd ( 7th class)
Of mice and men ( 10th class)

I dindn't read any other englisch books but I have listened to the radioplay of several Harry potter books.

What i think about studying texts in class:

I think it's a good thing to study texts in class because you can hear what other people think about the book and you can discuss about important themes, the book includes.
