My last entry =( [I know you'll all be sad and I'm sorry]

First of all I'll give you another very rough summary:
Sam and Alicia got the baby and they wanted to give them a new try and had sex again, but they (especially Sam) notices that they have no common future. At the end Sam has a new girlfriend and Alicia has a new boyfriend. Very rough but I hope is possible to understand.

After all I'm very happy, that i had to read THIS book. It was the intressting schoolnovel I have ever read.

The book has helped me to understand some things clearer. First I (of course i did know, but it's quite clearer now) experienced that one little accident can change your whole life. It helped me to understand, that having a baby when you're a teenager is a hard thing to manage and to get through. And most it mainly showed how important it is to go into your environment and accept other people and other opinions.

After I read my first entry again I'm able to say my predictions weren't so bad. There has happened something with Tony Hawk. He sent Sam to the future, what hasn't been unimportant for the story even if it was very weird. (I'll come to this point later again)
The accident wasn't the kind of accident i expected it to be.
My first guesses about the book were pretty right. It was kind of funny, even if Nick Hornby didn't use a lot of jokes, but Sams (Nick Hornbys) style of writing is a little bit weird but although funny.

Here's my only point of critique: The chapters where Sam was sent to the future disturbed me and made the story a little bit unclear. But although I think it's a grat book, Which can be used as a methode of determent for teenagers who want to have a baby. I don't think Nick Hornby wrote this book just for teenagers, but for any one who wants to know how hard the teenagelife is (and it definetly is haha).
This is my fourth entry and I post it after I read until page 240, that means I finished chapter 12

First I'll give you a summary of the latest events:

Sam left Hastings the same night he went there. He went home to his mum and didn't leave the house for a couple of days. He tried to keep out of Alicia's way, but he couldn't do it for a long time. After four days he met Alicia and they talked about the problem. Alicia wanted to keep the baby and she could persuade Sam (well he didn't had to say a word in this affair, because it wasn't his body). So they broke the news to their parents. The parents were all shocked. At the end Alicia asked Sam if he want's to life with her and her family and he couldn't say no. Then the book describes another weird "dream" of Sam. He got whizzed in the future again but this time further. His ´mum had another baby and his son Rufus, calles Roof, was born and twoo years old (I think). He had to take him to a doctor, but they ended up in a park. Afterwards he brought Roof back to Alicia and went home (strange because he used to live with Alicia).
So these were the latest events.

So here are some questions I would like to ask Nick Hornby:

How he made up the story? Has he maybe made the same experinces like Sam?
Is there any connection to his live?
Who he wrote this book for?

And here are some events that made me stop reading and think:
The first time I stopped reading was by the time Alicia and Sam omitted the condom. I thought about teenager-pregnancy and stuff like that

Then I read the conversation about the possible pregnancy. I thought how it would be if i became a father at this age. I think i would be scared too, but I also think I wouldn't run away. I would try to fix it. But that's easy to say because I'm not in this situation and can just make some guesses.

The third time I had to stop was while I read Sams "trip" to hasting. I thought how it would be to leae your home at an age like this to start your own life.

And last (but not least^^) Ihave to say I stillenjoy reading this book. Now there's even a new aspect: the strain. What will happen next? What's Sam up to? and question like these, while reading, are something very exciting to me.

Entry number three

I finished chapter seven right now and i think it's time for my next entry.

First I'll give you a short summary of the happenings so far:

Sam and Alicia met at a Party of Alicias mum. After some starting complications they started to go out together. And after they have gone out several times Alicia wanted to have sex with Sam. First he was unsure about it, but she could convince him and they ended up doing it. After some weeks THE ACCIDENT happened. They had "forgotten" to take a condom and so it happened, but they didn't realize. After some more weeks they stopped fancy each other and broke up. Sam just started his old life again (skating, meeting friends, when he got the message from Alicia that she might be pregnant. After he had talk to her and after he had a strange dream (he dreamed that Tony Hawk had whizzed im in the future and he experienced a dy with his son( that was really strang to read)) he decided to run away and because Hasting's the only place he knows apart from london he went there. In hasting he tried to get a job ( to pay his life as an fifteen year old boy!!) and ended up by helping a man called Mr. Brady the stairs up and down for twenty pounds a day.

I think the song shows how Sam is feeling (Linkin Park-Runaway)

Future developments
Sam won't stay in Hasting for along time. His life there has no future. I think he'll go to his home after at most one week. And i think that's the right thing to do. He's a fifteen years old "children" who should go to school or do a formation to have a good life.
I also think he will (should) try to convince Alicia that an abortion is the right thing, if she's actually pregnant what he can't be sure to know. An abortion would be the only intelligent thing to do. I mean they're both more or less children and they can't afford to have a baby.

My feelings right now are:

I'm curious and excited what sam will do. I'm afraid that Alicia will keep the baby and I'm still glad to read this intresting book, because it shows the problems of a teenage relationships or even the life of a teenager. That's a really intresting theme.

Some questions I would like to ask Sam:

Why he had nothing against it when Alicia wanted to use no condom. I mean his mom is the best example why you should ever use a condom if you aren't ready for having a baby? He could just have said "Stop" and it wouldn' have messed up his life like it's right now.

Why he run away from his old life instead of trying to fix it?

Why he didn't force Alicia to take the morning-after pill?
My second entry: I write this after i finished the first chapter.
In the first chapter Sam gives the reader a first impression of his life. He talks about his family, about skateboarding and (of course) about alicia. All in all he gives the impression to the readers that he has a more oe less normal but at he moment quite perfect life.

What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong

After i read the first chapter my feelings of reading this book are good. I think the language used in the book isn't difficult to understand and quite funny. It didn't took me long to read the first chapter (at most 10 minutes, but I'm not sure and would say lesser than that)

Some predictions i have made after chapter one and the blurp:

-Anything what has to do with Tony Hawk will happen(( maybe they'll meet^^) unlikely, but we'll see)

-Some kind of accident, which will change his life, will happen to Sam ( That's not really a prediction, because it's written on the blurp) but i can guess what kind of accident:
*Maybe a skateboard accident and he'll be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life [would be sad =(]

*or his mum will have a deathly accident and he has to life with his dad ( completely new situation)
